I got in contact with an individual who runs a publication in Louisiana called “The Minute Magazine”. The reason I did this was because I wanted to make a connection for MyWants, but I also wanted to possibly write a column for them and get some recognition among their readers. So, I came up with the idea of writing about how people can lose weight using YouTube. Cool article idea, right? haha
As I get into the article I came to a place where I needed to refer my readers in finding 300 calorie meals to eat. However, I ran into a problem! There was a bunch of poor videos and now reliable source for these types of videos. Being the entrepreneur that I am, my wheels started spinning!
I came up with the idea to start a video channel that was all about 300 calorie meals. Come to find out, 300CalorieMeals.com was also for sale. I contacted the owner and found out they were selling it for only $10. Once I found that out, it was on. I purchased the domain name, setup a YouTube account, and secured profiles on Facebook and Twitter. By that weekend, I had the website setup and ready to go. +Continue Reading
Kassi began looking around the internet for meals around 300 calories so that her and I could have a few more options to supplement the healthy meals we have been creating. We are on somewhat of a health kick being that we are going on vacation soon and need as many choices as possible. She came across this chocolate smoothie that has now become my complete favorite snack. I figure I share it with everyone because I think it is amazing, plus it is extremely easy to make. I hope you enjoy it.
Ingredients
- ½ Cup of Milk (Silk Dark Chocolate, Pure Almond is best but any low fat milk will do)

I came across a list of manners in my Instant Genius book that made me think this should be inforced much more… not just with kids, but with adults also.
Here we go
1. Look at the person when you are shaking hands
2. Say “Yes, thank you” and “No, ma’am” and “Yes, Mrs. Smith,” not just “yes” and “no”
3. Say “Thank you for a very nice afternoon/evening” or, “Thank you, I had a lovely time” when you are saying goodbye to a host.
4. Do not interrupt older people
5. Wait at doorways until older people have gone through. Men should also learn to let girls precede them.
6. Be scrupulously polite to anyone who receives wages in return for service. The kind of rudeness which should never be tolerated is that which refers to the fact that these people are employed.
As a college student I came up with the idea of a website and business that I wanted to create. Not knowing what to do or who to turn to for this very specific type of project, I ventured out on my own.
Long story short, I ended up getting where I wanted to be, but I took the long path with too many bumps in the road. If only I had someone to guide me along a path that had already been taken while helping me connect to every service provider I needed, PERSONALLY.
Over the years I have come to find out that people need help. Not only do people need help finding the right people and resources to get things done, but I also found out that people need motivation and coaching to help them accomplish big dreams and obtain their wants in life.
Yes, their “wants”! I understand that people “need” things, but my focus and the focus of my company is on those who want to push the envelope. I like to meet and work with people who strive further than their basic needs in their personal life or the life of their business. +Continue Reading
This is a post I made for LifeWants.com
“It’s better to move when you’re 80 percent ready and make up the other 20% while you’re moving than it is to wait until your 100% prepared”
This is a quote I picked up from Million Dollar Consulting
by Alan Weiss. I think that so many individuals with entrepreneurial minds fall into this trap. They get an idea and then try to get things perfectly lined up to implement a plan. All this is doing is slowing you down and NOT gaining you any traction.
Now, do notice that you should be around 80% and not just jump at your idea with little to no planning.
Just know that things don’t have to be perfect to start whatever it is your wanting to do.
